About me

Atmosphere, space and silence - whether the peace of a broad expanse of a field or an apple sitting on a white cloth - this is what I try to capture in my work.

Northern light and the pared back landscapes of the South Downs, the simple structures of field, boundary and wood are my inspiration. I paint in oils, capturing the experience of walking alone in the landscape in all weathers, feeling the bones of the land below my feet.

Recently graduated from The Art Academy in London, I originally studied geography at Manchester University and this interest in how landscapes form carries through into my work. I’m also a writer, with short stories published and novel almost completed.
